By Acupuncture Wu Wei Posted July 31, 2018

One of the fundamental theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine is the theory of the five elements or Wu Xing. This theory classifies processes and things in five movements, elements or phases. These are: Wood, fire, earth, metal and water.

All the elements are part of us, which is true that at least one of them predominates in our personality. This can change as we evolve throughout the stages of our life. Do you want to find out what element predominates in you at this time? The following test can help you identify it.

Now classify the numbers that you have written down according to the number in which they end. Count how many there are of each of the following groups:
The group with the most responses is your predominant element. There may be a tie between several elements.

* For example: if I have marked the one, the 6, the 10, the 15, the 17, the 19, the twenty-one, the 27, the 31 and the 36 I will have a predominance of the WATER element
THE FIVE ELEMENTS

WATER

People with a predominance of the water element tend to be introverted and have a rich inner world. They are interested in understanding the essence of things, they study and investigate in depth, they may have an interest in spirituality or philosophy. Some people may accuse them of slowness, the truth is that they take their time to do things right. They have great willpower, lucidity, and creativity. They can tend to isolate themselves from others seeking deep understanding of themselves and the universe.

FIRE

People with a predominance of the fire element illuminate their surroundings with their presence. They are warm, smiling, seductive and very talkative people. Your life needs excitement and the attention of others. Of great emotional intensity, they can have sudden ups and downs of mood. His schedule is rarely empty, it is usually full of meetings with his many friends. He always has some exciting story to tell you. You may have a hard time falling asleep.

WOOD

The person with a predominance of wood is a pioneer or entrepreneur. He has a vision and a great determination to carry it out. No matter how difficult it may seem, he will do whatever it takes, adapt to overcome all obstacles, and take on whoever he is. He is attracted to creating something new, something that has never been done, following his own internal drive. A routine life and taking orders from others does not satisfy your spirit. You are here to be a leader, to face battles. You can build up a lot of tension if you don't allow yourself periods of relaxation and rest.

METAL

The metal-dominated person is methodical, analytical, structured, and has a great sense of justice. You need to follow an order, the correct protocol, follow the instructions and the scheduled times. He is an efficient and reliable person. Do not propose an impromptu trip to him: he needs to know what time the train is taken, how far, how much the ticket costs, where you will eat and spend the night. Adaptability is not his strong suit. He tends to contain his emotions instead of expressing them and to analyze situations with a cool head. He uses his impassive appearance as a protective shell to protect his sensitivity.

LAND

The person with a predominance of the earth element turns to offering love and care to others. Like Mother Earth, she gives her all with generosity and compassion. No matter when you visit him, he will always have something good in the pantry or in the fridge to offer you generously. He will give you his own bed so you can sleep well. You enjoy being comfortable, eating well, and getting your loved ones together regularly to share the good things in life. Changes cost you. She has a special vocation to take care of children or animals. You have a tendency to worry too much about others and sacrifice your own needs for the common good.
